Pre Valentine's Day
I was unsure what I would write about about today. Don't know why. I guess when it's the day before Valentine's Day, you think about it. I saw this picture of a broken heart Hard Rock pin. I collect Hard Rock pins. Whenever I go to a new city, I buy one. I happened across this image and it got be thinking.
If you're stressing over VDay tommorrow or don't have a special person, this post is for you. Remember VD is just a DAY. You're not a loser if you don't have a special one. You may just be selective. You may just be taking a break. You may be in a place in your life where you don't need or don't want anyone. That's ok. Be your OWN Valentine tommorrow. Buy yourself some candy, flowers or a card. Eat something decadent. Pamper yourself. Love yourself. Because that's the greatest love of all.

Sound advice. Why do holidays in this country cause so much stress and grief?
I agree totaly with you Windfall!
If you don't have a valentine this year, you can be my valentine! Big ol cornbread hug your way!
You have plenty of us blog valentines.
Snake poses the question about holidays and grief. Don't have the answer but think part of it is due to EXPECTATIONS. People expect holidays to be fun, full of love, warm relationships, laughter, maybe a few tears, and generally just a notch or two improvement in their personal happiness. Too often the reverse happens.
BUT WFW you got it right. Don't expect something - just go do for yourself - treat yourself right. Make yourself happy with some little things. I know I will. Lots of hugs from Old Baldy
One of my passions - Valentines Day - not because it is a good day. It is the opposite. If you don't have someone, it tends to make it a hard day unncessarily. If you have someone you are almost FORCED to do something special and why? FOR COMMERCIALISM.
Why can't every day be valentines day if you have someone special? Why do we need to let businesses dictate that? Just a thought.
How perfectly correct you are WFW! Happy Day for you!!
You have it so right, just be your own Valentine. Love yourself, something so important but so often forgotten.
