Dear WW, a while back I was standing at a trolley stop, had a few large shopping bags and my purse hanging loosely on my shoulder. My arms were tired and I was quite busy with managing the weight of the bags. I felt something at my side, I turned and there was this very tall man with sunglasses and his hand dipped right smack in my purse. My jaw dropped like you see in the cartoons. Before I could react- I wanted to scream but couldn't- he moved away from me with elegance, without breaking a sweat or turning back to look at me. I checked my purse, nothing was missing. I looked around at the stop, no one had seen anything and there were lots of people there! I was so overwhelmed. Daytime in downtown Athens, with so many people and this man had the audacity to just dip in!

First of all you are very generous with your time: ballet, scouts, etc. and a source of inspiration to me for volunteer work!
You looked over at her and felt sorry for her being in the theater alone. Instead of being angry or just plain misanthropic, you cried over the desperate, the needy, the ones without conscience.
This means you see a whole lot more than there really is. You are a soul searcher and a person who tries to see good in everything.
I'm sorry for your inconvenience (losing money & going without credit cards). Well, the bright side is that you'll be taking extra precautions and become a bit more wary.
