A Mother's Request

Friends, I rarely have two posts in one day. Tonight - it's important.
I am redirecting you today to someone's blog I admire greatly - Monica's Opinions. Monica's son, Josh, just got home from Iraq, and has not been feeling well. Monica's post for today is entitled "A Mother's Request." She is asking us to pray for her son for the next 24 - 48 hours. It would be wonderful if you could post your support for Joshua - but even better - pray for him. It costs nothing - only your time and your prayers. Thank you in advance.

I'm not the praying type and don't think I've ever done that. But I still wish the very best for Josh and hope he gets better soon. He and the other soldiers in Iraq are true patriots, though I can't say the same about the draft dodgers that put them there.

ZARDOZ SAYS :
I visited mrs MONICAS blog and and read her history of her son , and wrote my best thoughts for her.
At times i wish i could hug every mother that needed my strength.
But icant get on the bandwagon of praying to something that does exist only as our inner strength
to our selves and others and will not let fear overwhelm anyone only
to have them lament later on
if something doesnt go our way
that it was gods will..!!
its not people.it wasnt god that chewed out the doctor it
was MRS MONICA.
Dear snake i am coming over to you
now on the true patriot comment.
I HAD TO SAY THIS.

I read her regularly. He has quite the adjustment period to face over the coming months. He and She will need prayers.

I was already on that one, WW, but kudos to you for passing it on!

I must be slow today, 'cause it took me a moment to *get* Snake's meaning. Here! Here!

Hi WW, I've been off the blogosphere a few days due to family problems. Albeit delayed comment, I'd like to put in my 2cents. I feel for every Monica, but I feel for every [insert random female Iraqi name here] too. The consequences of an insane war, an insane invasion of a sovereign state. I wish Josh and [insert random young male Iraqi name here] well. There are too many victims, too much blood, too many dismembered bombed children and soldiers. Too many homeless Iraqi people, too many Iraqi cities without clean water and sewage facilties due to the bombings. Too many hospitals without basic rules of hygiene. Too many deformed embryos being born because of depleted uranium (oh, sorry that's Serbia, wrong war, maybe). Too many too manys... Not enough praying and wishing well to go around. One answer only: Stop war. Any rationalizations as to why US troops are in a foreign country, is not affiliated with the term "rational".
