Home and Guess who I saw at the AIRPORT???

YEP......I saw the two on the left....Nancy Kerrigan and her husband, Jerry Solomon. She was right there ordering food behind me at Au Bon Pain. Not many people recognized her that I could tell. Her husband smiled at me. She did not. I was impressed by her carryon rolling luggage. It was dark green -- not the typical, cool black that EVERYONE has. It did not look new. Neither one of them looked very "windfallish" considering the fact that they must be rather well off -- to say the least. I'm glad to be home although I had a great time.

Nancy made my town famous because she came here and got her knee smashed.

Thanks Nancy!

Cool - never have met anyone famous at the airport. I had to look hard to recognize her.

How fun!
I ran into Lyle Lovett here in Austin once when I was high school. It was at a popular restaraunt here and me and my friend got up the nerve to say hello to him. He was very polite and commented on our prom dresses. (It was Jr prom night)
Always neat to see a famous person.
Glad you're home safe!

I saw Johnny Mathias once at the San Diego Airport. He was at a bar just conversing as nice as you please with the bartender and some other folks sitting there. I didn't meet him - I was sitting with some other friends. Well got to go cut some firewood - looks like we may have a cold winter. Old Baldy

Anonymous, that's alot of how I tend to remember her - the whole knee/Tonya Harding thing. David, I'm not sure anyone else recognized her. Jodi - now it would be HARD to miss Lyle Lovett with that hair. I'm glad he was nice! Lauri, she was beautiful and NO MAKEUP either. Old Baldy, I sure hope you are careful. I hear woodchopping can be painful.

I haven't heard her name for a while, but one look at her face, and it all came back.

Welcome back, WW. I've never seen Nancy in person, even though I've lived in Boston for quite awhile. (I think she still lives here but maybe I'm mistaken.) I ran into Cissy Spacek once in a grocery store (produce department) in Austin, Texas and John Cusack in a grocery store near Hollywood. I was at a party in Bel Air once & chatted with Charlie Sheen about the Chicago Cubs. And I saw in front of Bill Macy during a showing of the documentary, "Fast, Cheap, & Out of Control." During bicycle jaunts through Harvard Square I've seen Donald Sutherland, Leonard Nimoy, and the late Spaulding Gray. But I've never seen anyone famous (at least that I've recognized) in an airport. I wasn't trying to outdo you with this long, self-aggrandizing list.

I sat in front of Bill Macy (I did not "saw" in front of him) during that movie. Sorry for the typo.

When I was in an airport in Tennessee, I ran into Jerry Springer. It was my first celebrity sighting, so I had him sign the only thing I had. The Kurt Vonnegut book I was reading. I think that is literary sacrilige.

My daughter looks enough like her to be her sister. She was always one of my favorite skaters.
The only famous person I saw at an airport was John Amos, in the Newark airport about 15 yeas ago. My hubs said it wasn't him, but I'd have known him anywhere.

Maybe you should have asked him how his three school-age kids are doing back home with his ex-wife whom he left for Nancy. His ex is far more better looking than Nancy and she has a personality. The Kerrigans live in Stoneham,Ma., a couple of towns over from my town.

I have dark green luggage too! How old is Nancy? Her husband makes it seem as if she's in her 40s, but somehow I don't think that's true. I guess she just likes older men, then again who doesn't? Me.

Ardist, you have a wonderful Thanksgiving week also. Darlene, I had the same reaction - sort of a double take. Snake, WOW! Forget the Boston Globe, with your celebrity sighting abilities, you could make a "windfall" snapping photos for the Inquirer or Star! John, lol, do NOT tell Kurt Vonnegut. Kenju, I bet your daughter is just beautiful!

Hale, I hated to say it, but the memories of the scandal of her husband and her did come rushing back. Looking at the two of them together, they really appeared mismatched and not just by age. Her face was really blank - no personality or warmth shining through at all. And he - he appeared very weary - almost weary of life. Ruyvm, she's 35. He's probably in his 50s. And they just had another son this year.
